Yesterday we saw Burnley’s game against Watford postponed thanks to a wave of coronavirus cases, and we wrote here that Chelsea’s game against Everton tonight – and certainly the game against Wolves this weekend – were in doubt.
The Blues had had only one positive case that we know about all season – Mateo Kovacic. And he stands to be released on Friday.
But just now, the inevitable has occurred – three players from the first team squad have tested positive ahead of tonight’s game against Everton.
The team had a full training session on Wednesday, with the trio involved, so further testing may reveal further cases developing.
Goal.com report that two of the three were in line to play tonight, so assuming the game goes ahead, it should be pretty obvious who has been knocked out of contention.
At this stage, there’s nothing we can do except soldier on and try to keep more players healthy than our competition.

Ok thanks
