Chelsea are having a very busy December, but it’s not letting up here.
January is just around the corner, and after tonight’s win in the Carabao Cup it’s quite the wild ride. 6 games come, starting with Liverpool and finishing with Spurs in the Premier League, and taking in FA Cup, EFL Cup matches as well as a game against table-topping Man City in the top flight.

The good news, though, is that tonight marked a big step forward in the fitness of a few players.
Mateo Kovacic started his first game since October, N’Golo Kante got a few more minutes to build him up to fitness, and Jorginho was able to take a break.
Then, after the game Thomas Tuchel revealed that Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi were testing negative and could return to training tomorrow too.
That’s not everyone, but it puts us in a far stronger position to take on this epic January to come.
