We absolutely love Thomas Tuchel.
He’s not just a great manager, he’s direct, honest and interesting in press conferences and interviews.
In this case, after a horrible game that saw his much changed team play badly, he was totally frank about how fortunate his side had been.
“We stole three points” he admitted, in quotes picked up by Sam Inkersole of Football.London.

It’s a correct assessment of the match, and Tuchel even went on to blame himself for making so many changes – although it seems like most of them were entirely necessary.
If Reece James and Jorginho are fit this weekend and Romelu Lukaku can start, we will look significantly better, but the whole XI will have to raise their game massively if we want another win.
We have no doubt Tuchel can improve things before 12.30 on Saturday. You can get lucky once in this league – you rarely get lucky twice in a row.
