Disappointment as Thomas Tuchel suggests rare start for forgotten man will not happen now

Thomas Tuchel has been involved in a Chelsea pre-match press conference in what is quite possibly the most bizarre time of supporting this club.

He will of course have some senior players available tomorrow, but as well as all those missing with Covid-19, he also confirmed that both Trevoh Chalobah and Andreas Christensen will miss the game versus Brentford tomorrow with injury, and N’Golo Kante will be rested after playing 90 when they were advised he could only play 45 versus Wolves.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

I’ts an unprecedented situation and it means that we are now trying to figure out exactly who in a whole host of academy players called in to train under Tuchel this week in light of the situation, will get the nod in the squad and may even start tomorrow night.

Forgotten midfielder Lewis Baker will not be one of those, and he will be truly gutted, because Tuchel has suggested he would have probably started the game if he hadn’t also tested positive with Covid-19.
