John Terry is set to return to Chelsea in a coaching role working with the club’s impressive academy.
The defender was an assistant to Dean Smith at Aston Villa for several years before leaving in the summer to look for head coaching opportunities.
Nothing tempting seems to have been offered to him, so the former Blue will not return to work at the club he left in 2017.

The news was first reported way back in November by Simon Phillips, of this parish, and has now been picked up by major newspapers and news outlets.
The Athletic say that Terry had not received any interest from Premier League jobs, and the 41 will be hoping that involvement with Chelsea’s exceptional youth system improves his CV further.
From Chelsea’s perspective, having a club legend back working with the youngsters can only be a good thing, and JT looked to be a great coach in his time at Villa.
