Chelsea lost 4 players to coronavirus this midweek, and since then three more have joined them.
Yesterday’s testing adding two more, then a third was confirmed early today when the PCR results came back.
According to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, that leaves Chelsea with 14 players available. We know the Blues requested that the game was called off, and that request was rejected.
If it’s true there are just 14 available, that could mean we were just one positive test away from being granted a postponement.
#Chelsea have 14 players available to face Wolves after two positive Covid-19 cases yesterday and one further one today.

Either way, it’s too late to worry about that now. All we can do is try and win three points from this tough game.
It will be interesting to see what Thomas Tuchel says about the whole situation before kick off – in recent press conferences he’s been pretty realistic about the whole situation, and insisted he didn’t want to get involved with the “politics” of whether games should be played or not.
That will surely be being tested now.
