It doesn’t look good for Reece James and Chelsea after he went down injured against Brighton last night in the Premier League.
It was the last thing that Chelsea needed as they struggle through injuries, fatigue, and Covid-19 cases, but the initial reports on James’ injury are not sounding good at all.

The Athletic claim that there will be more scans, more assessments on Reece James’ injury, but the prognosis looked grim and is most likely a ripped hamstring.
This comes after he was seen grimacing as he left Stamford Bridge on crutches last night.

IF, and it is a big IF at the moment because nothing has been officially confirmed by Chelsea, but IF he has a torn hamstring then James could be out from anything from days to months depending on what grade it is.
As per The NHS website, a minor muscle pull or strain (grade 1) may take a few days to heal, whereas it could take weeks or months to recover from a muscle tear (grade 2 or 3).
