A wave of gentle but very detectable boo-ing swept round Stamford Bridge at full time tonight after Chelsea drew 1-1 with Everton.
It marks the first time since Thomas Tuchel took over we’ve heard anything like that, but it wasn’t just about tonight’s desperate draw against an Everton side full of youth team players. It’s the culmination of weeks of frustrating results across the board.

It’s hard to know what to think. On the one hard it’s the latest in quite a long chain of sub par games in a row, the team looked really poor, especially in the second half, and gave away a soft goal.
On the other hand, they’ve been seriously depleted throughout that run, and today more than ever had just no attacking options on the bench or on the pitch.
Still, it was more an expression of frustration than anything else, and a couple of wins will see smiles back on everyone’s faces.
