Chelsea have just named their team for today’s game against Leeds, and not for the first time in recent history, Andreas Christensen is on the bench.
The Danish defender had missed out a few times for Trevoh Chalobah, and now it’s Cesar Azpilicueta in his place.
Thomas Tuchel had admitted before that Christensen’s contract situation was affecting how often he gets picked, and he didn’t impress in midweek against Zenit either when he was called upon.
On social media there was a mixed reaction to the coach’s selections. Some back him, some say it’s his decisions to drop the Dane initially that’s caused his bad form.
As is so often the case, people are split right down the line. Whatever the case, it’s really hurting the team at the moment, and we’re desperate to have it sorted as soon as possible.
