Thomas Tuchel has spoken to Amazon Prime about the two injuries the team picked up in the draw with Brighton tonight.
The Blues were hit first by the loss of Reece James after just 25 minutes, and then Andreas Christensen, who went down at a similar time but played on until the break, when he was replaced.

Tuchel doesn’t have much to say – there’s no way of knowing the severity of these issues until there have been scans – but he does confirm that the type of injuries were as we expected.
Christensen’s back problem is chronic – will he be able to play this weekend? We’re not so sure. Thiago Silva is already out, Trevoh Chalobah is playing through the pain, like half the squad it seems. As for James – in theory this could be months out, let’s pray it’s just weeks.
Let’s hope that at least one of them is ready to play against Liverpool – we’re going to need them against a ferocious Reds team.
