Chelsea went through to the semi finals of the League Cup last night beating Brentford 2-0 in their own backyard and thus setting up a big match against local rivals Tottenham in the last four of the competition.
It took two late goals, and own goal and a penalty, for Chelsea to beat Brentford last night, but the squad was depleted and Thomas Tuchel was forced to name five academy players in his squad just to complete the fixture. And those boys did great by the way.

But we might not be having this conversation at all if it wasn’t for the heroics of another man keeping Chelsea in the game in the first half.
Kepa Arrizabalaga got the nod between the sticks and he made a string of top draw saves from close range to stop Brentford taking the lead in the first 45 minutes, and it was Kepa who was described as ‘super impressive’ by the boss after the game.
“I’m very happy and super impressed with Kepa,” Tuchel said as reported by the Chelsea website.
“It’s not a surprise anymore but he’s in that state of mind as a person, a character and a sportsman where he just delivers.
“This is what he shows every day in training and that’s why he gets the rewards and has these kind of performances. He was a big factor today in the first half especially.”
