We’re just a couple of weeks away from the January transfer window now, so it was pretty predictable that Thomas Tuchel would be asked in his press conference today about whether Chelsea were interested in signing any new players in the winter window.
The Blues boss played down those chances, insisting that his team “are not in talks right now about bringing in players.” As he points out, we’re on the verge of getting all of our injured squad members back, and we’ve got a packed roster as it is.
Little word on January transfer window there from Thomas Tuchel: "We are not in talks right not about bringing in players because we trust our squad and we hope to bring all players back and be at full strength." #CFC

It’s what we expected to hear. The squad as been stretched in the last couple of months, but there’s no getting past the fact it’s very deep, and we’ve got all kind of quality all over the pitch.
As tempting as it is to dream of new signings and new players, we’ve got plenty to be getting on with – it’s hardly like we’ve seen the best of Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz or many of the other stars of recent windows.
