Three unpopular Chelsea players and one very popular one make Carabao Cup “team of the Quarter Finals”

Listen, we know making the “Carabao Cup team of the quarter finals” isn’t exactly the Ballon d’Or, but when you look at who made it, it matter to us.

There are four Chelsea players in there – the much maligned Kepa, who had a brilliant game against Brentford last night, and really looks to be coming in to form.

Then there’s the equally maligned Marcos Alonso, who has played every game for weeks at left wing back – but still managed to be full of beans.

Then you’ve got the EVEN MORE MALIGNED Saul Niguez, who had maybe his first good 90 minutes in a Blue shirt last night.

To cap it off you’ve got Trevoh Chalobah – the opposite of maligned – who was fantastic at the heart of a back 3.

You can see the full XI in the image embedded here:

That – along with the debuts for 3 youngsters – is what the Carabao is all about.
