Two further positive cases at Chelsea put Wolves game in serious doubt

Chelsea’s game against Wolves tomorrow is in serious doubt after the Blues added two new positive cases to the four they had from earlier in the week.

Thomas Tuchel’s team played against Everton on Thursday night with games being called off left, right, and centre, and with Mateo Kovacic, Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi all out.

Now sites like CaughtOffside are reporting the news that two further tests have come back positive.

It will depend on whether further positives are picked up in tomorrow’s testing, but so far it appears that the game is going ahead. Mateo Kovacic will be out of isolation and able to play, but there’s no telling how many other players could be struck down before 4pm tomorrow.

Just like everyone else in the league, we’re going to have to wait and see, and the decision could come down to the very last minute.
