Thomas Tuchel has had his first run of bad results as Chelsea boss, and accordingly his first run of tricky press conferences.
While he’s been pretty terse in the post-match efforts after the results in question, he always brightens up by the pre-match for the next game, and today he was defending the teams performances.
He pointed out that the side had gone from very good to just average. But as he said “average looks horrible when you play for Chelsea.”
Let’s hope the team can restore their high standards tomorrow afternoon.
