Chelsea’s squad was down to the bare bones today, to the point that centre back Trevoh Chalobah came on as effectively an offensive substitution, as Thomas Tuchel explained when asked about it by Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com.
Chalobah’s ability at set pieces was about the only weapon Tuchel had up his sleeve. Chelsea did threaten quite a lot from corners and free kicks in the second half, but that said more about their inability to create chances from open play.
