Thomas Tuchel took his pre-Brighton press conference after the Aston Villa game, where he was still in a good mood on the back of a win.
There were plenty of negative things to talk about however, including the fitness of N’Golo Kante, who limped off in that match.
“I don’t know what we will do” Tuchel sighed when confronted with that fact in the presser. As he pointed out, the squad had been excited to see Jorginho, Kante and Mateo Kovacic all fit together for the first time in months – but they didn’t make it through a single match in that state.
