Chelsea have struggled to keep clean sheets in recent games – in fact they’ve conceded more in the last few weeks than at any other point in Thomas Tuchel’s time at the club.
Today they got back on track in defence, and Antonio Rudiger played another solid game at the heart of Tuchel’s back line. Asked whether he was happy about with the improvement at the back, Rudiger responded bluntly “I’d rather win the game with no clean sheet.” Harsh, but true. Let’s hope the whole squad feel that way.
