Cesar Azpilicueta was the Chelsea player who fronted up to face the media today after a heart breaking draw against Brighton.
He kept repeating there were “no excuses” for the result, yet he also couldn’t resist mentioning those excuses – the injuries and Covid and the lack of time between games.
The team deserve a lot of sympathy, and those excuses are valid – but watching teams like Man City crush their opposition it was hard to understand what they’ve done so differently.

There’s no escuses about draw against brigton team. If chelsea players are seriously about tittle race they must stap up their games. We obviously observed the lack of seriousness in some players like odoi and Aloso below what fans espect for. We needs a change pls.
