Chelsea are in front!
After conceding the first goal we had our worries about how this fixture would end up, but the Blues have gritted their teeth and scored twice.
Romelu Lukaku was brought on at half time and he didn’t waste any time in finding gaps in the Aston Villa defence. A couple of crosses were defended, but eventually Callum Hudson-Odoi picked out an angle and the Belgian forward timed his run perfectly.
Emi Martinez had no chance of saving his well directed header.
You can see the goal in the clip embedded here:
Just 10 minutes after coming on, Lukaku has his first Premier League goal since September 🔥
His movement is brilliant, nipping in front of Mings and glancing a header past Martinez! #AVFC 1-2 #CFC
