It was a cold and foggy evening in the Midlands, with Chelsea having played just 72 hours before, and facing a host of Covid absences.
Against a well organised and relatively fresh Wolves team playing at home, it was a recipe for disaster. But while Chelsea’s makeshift midfield and attack struggled, Thiago Silva was the one man who was refusing to let his team lose.
It was another performance of supreme ability, this time in very testing circumstances. We honestly have no idea where we would be without him.
