Antonio Rudiger had one of those days today – he won two vital penalties by rushing forwards, but also contributed to an ugly Leeds goal by running from his back line without sufficient cover.
His manager Thomas Tuchel was happy with his “controlled risks” however, and smiled when asked about the defender.
“He did not accept to lose today” Tuchel said, clearly wishing he had a few more players with an attitude like that. As long as he’s earning more goals than he’s giving away, nobody can have too many complaints.

Thomas Tuchel singled out @ToniRuediger for praise today, and the "controlled risk" he exerted in winning the decisive penalty for Chelsea! 😅#CHELEE #beINPL
