Thomas Tuchel called up several young players to training this week to boost numbers after a major Covid outbreak in the squad, and it doesn’t sound like he’s going to be afraid to use them either.
In his press conference today he insisted that he would “prioritise health” over the Brentford game itself. That means, for example, resting N’Golo Kante completely and not risking any tired or injures players.
With half the squad out of action – that means we could see a lot of academy player debuts.
