Thomas Tuchel had enough on his plate for today’s press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Liverpool, so Romelu Lukaku’s explosive interview which did the rounds last night was the last thing he needed to be dealing with.
He tried to pour some cold water on it by saying that it’s easy to read into things too much and to take things out of context, but he couldn’t deny how damaging it was.
Asked if he would speak to Lukaku, and if the striker would face any disciplinary action, Tuchel simply replied “we will.”
