The first question of Thomas Tuchel’s press conference today rather set the tone for the whole thing. Asked about Reece James’ hamstring injury and whether the club had a clearer timeframe of when the right back would return, Tuchel said they did – but he wouldn’t be telling the press.
His logic is that if he gives a specific date, he will be constantly asked about it in these conferences. That is true – but he’s likely to be asked about it just as much if he keeps it mysterious like this, as he will soon find out.
