Lots of people love football, and they all love it for different reasons.
Some are obsessed with kits and merchandise, and they were the ones heading to the Chelsea website at full time of the Club World Cup on Saturday to buy a new shift with a freshly minted golden “world champions” badge from FIFA.
But those who wanted to see the Blues rock it themselves this season will be disappointed.
According to Alan Smith of Football.London, mid season kit changes are not allowed in the Premier League, so fans will have to wait until August to see it on our new effort.
We can make changes to our European kit now however, so expect us to be playing Lille next week with the little golden patch proudly displayed.
We can wear it until next year’s Club World Cup, so we will get our full 12 months of fun out of it.
