Explained: Why one consortium “have an advantage in the race to buy Chelsea”

Monday sees the next deadline in the pursuit to buy Chelsea Football Club.

It marks the day where consortium’s and groups looking to buy the club can put their final offers on the table and make sure they have the very best proposal and plans to put towards Raine Group, who will then liaise with Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea executives.

In fact, reliable reporter Ben Jacobs claims that they have an advantage in the race to buy Chelsea for two reasons.

One is due to their capital and financial backing, the other is the fact they already did due diligence back in 2018 when they were first looking to buy the club.
