The sale of Chelsea is dragging on, and that’s frustrating a lot of fans. But the reality is that this is a massive deal, and it’s moving at almost unprecedented speed considering its size.
One area where we are hoping to see things sped up is in the approval by the Premier League and the government. Given we’re down to just 3 approved bidders now, both can get a headstart on working out whether they would deny any of them the opportunity to be the new owner.

He’s says that the Premier League are “soft vetting” the remaining bidders so that they can wave them through as quickly as possible. Let’s hope the government are doing the same thing.
Hopefully that would mean that when Raine Group decide, things can move very quickly.
