Pundit suggests Romelu Lukaku moves to Tottenham

The Metro love to stir things up, and today they’ve linked Romelu Lukaku with a move to Tottenham.

The Blues signed the striker only last summer, but the monster £100m deal hasn’t worked out, and it looks like they will struggle to move him on this summer.

Former Spurs player Darren Bent has an idea though – if Tottenham’s beloved Harry Kane tries for a second summer in a row to leave the club for Manchester City at all costs, perhaps they should take the money and spend it on Lukaku.

Well, we usually don’t approve of Chelsea players moving to our big rivals, but in this case it looks like we will be stuck with the Belgian for some time.

We don’t want to give up on him too soon – he’s a quality player and we’ve all seen it work for him before – but it would be hard for us to resist if someone made a serious offer for him.

Maybe Darren is on to something?

  1. Why would you wish such that on Spurs Mr. Bent? The pace of the EPL was too fast for Lukaku in the past and now it’s beyond his reach. The EPL has been labeled negatively for years till Timo Werner admitted the hård facts in an interview two seasons ago. The reality is Lukaku is too slow and can’t adapt to the intensity of most EPL matches. He would achieve more in another League.
