Reece James savages Alex Telles – but Chelsea still can’t take the lead

Chelsea’s first half against Manchester United was pretty dire, let’s be honest.

The only bright spot was the wing backs. Marcos Alonso is never afraid to get forward, and he’s made runs time and again down Chelsea’s left to cause trouble.

But even that is nothing compared to the absolute domination Reece James is showing down the right. He’s shredding Alex Telles time and time again, and as these stats show, nobody can get close to him.

And he’s certainly making the most of that space – he’s swung in some gorgeous crosses but nobody has been able to get on the end of them.

Unfortunately for him his teammates weren’t on the same level  – Kai Havertz headed one straight at David de Gea, and a couple flew across the face of goal with nobody there to poke them in.

If we had another Reece James in the team, it would be 2-0…
