It now looks like one of the biggest transfers of the pending summer involving Chelsea is all but done.
Last week, WE exclusively broke the news over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea that Antonio Rudiger had decided that he was leaving Chelsea at the end of the summer, news that was then started to be picked up and reported by the major news outlets over the weekend.
It soon became apparent that Chelsea’s star defender would soon be leaving the club as a free agent.
Many clubs have been mentioned as potential suitors from PSG to Bayern Munich. But it looks like he will be going to neither of them and it will in fact be Spain that will be his next home, Madrid more specifically.
That is because Fabrizio Romano has just reported that he has reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid to join them this summer when he becomes a free agent.
