“That’s what it’s like when you play Real Madrid” – Tuchel hugely ‘disappointed’ with UCL Ref

I really fear that Thomas Tuchel is going to get in some trouble for some his post-match comments after our 3-2 win against Real Madrid last night.

Of course, although we won the tie on the night, Real Madrid are the hugely fortunate team to go through due to winning the tie on aggregate after a 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge last week.

Three clubs are looking to buy Jorginho from Chelsea this summer!

Chelsea left everything out on that pitch and Thomas Tuchel’s frustrations naturally boiled over on the final whistle. He did all he could, but when you are playing against officials as well as a team, it makes everything harder.

Tuchel believes that Real Madrid got the better of all the decisions across the two legs, and he is frustrated with the Referee for a number of reasons.

One being the fact that he didn’t even go and look at the monitor for Marcos Alonso’s goal that got ruled out for an alleged handball.

Tuchel believes though, that this is just what happens when you play against Real Madrid, and even though he’ll get in trouble for simply speaking truths, he is spot on here.

“I’m very disappointed the referee didn’t go and check it [Alonso’s disallowed goal] himself,” Tuchel said as reported by The Sun.

“That’s what it’s like when you play Real Madrid in the Champions League.

“I am disappointed the ref had a good time with Carlo.

“I know he’s a nice guy and a gent, but when I wanted to say thank you, to see him smiling and laughing loudly with the opposition coach is very, very bad timing.

“After 120 minutes of seeing your team fighting until the very last drop, it’s wrong – and I told him.

“I had the feeling in both matches that like 51 per cent to the other side with all the decisions made.”
