Mason Mount’s hair had been getting ridiculously long, and when he was asked about it today after the game he admitted that his new cut had been necessary – his hair was getting in his eyes.
Fans had noted him sweeping it out of his eyes in midweek as Romelu Lukaku flashed a header wide – not a great look, to be honest.
He looks a lot smarter now, and it paid off as he picked up two goals and an assist in Chelsea’s comfortable away win over Southampton.
