“Undergo medicals” – Chelsea set to complete first senior outgoing of the summer

Chelsea’s work has understandably been a little laboured in the transfer market so far this window.

With the new owners only being officially confirmed three weeks ago, it is quite natural that with the amount of workload to do, we haven’t seen too much movement in the market so far.

Sources: Latest on Richarlison, Sterling, Dembele, and others to Chelsea.

But Chelsea do need to start getting things moving now, and the big indicator that this is about to happen is finally confirming a major outgoing for this summer.

Romelu Lukaku will have his medical and complete his move back to Inter Milan next week, according to Fabrizio Romano last night.

This is likely to kickstart a string of new movements, especially in attack, with Thomas Tuchel targeting one or two new forwards this window.

There is plenty more work left to do for Todd Boehly and co yet though, with more reinforcements expected to arrive, and more players departing.
