Another Chelsea talent confirms loan to Championship club

We wrote yesterday that this deal was close to being done, and now we finally have official confirmation of Tino Anjorin’s loan move to Huddersfield.

The attacking midfield joins the Terriers for the season, hoping to show what he can do with regular game time at the side which made it to the playoffs last season.

The quotes in the announcement of his signing reveal how highly regarded he is:

“Tino is up there with most 20-year-olds in the country in terms of talent. He was unlucky last season with the injury he sustained, but our coaches saw more than enough in their work with him to push hard for his return for the coming season,” said head coach Danny Schofield.

Why should you care? Well, Tino was one of the brightest talents in the academy, and while his career went a little off track last season, this time around he’s much better set up for success.

He will return to the club where he spent the latter part of last season, which should allow him to hit the ground running. The Championship is a great division for Chelsea players to show their talents, as we’ve seen with Reece James, Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher in recent years.
