Diego Costa got a great reception when he came off the pitch at Stamford Bridge yesterday, great recognition for the Brazilian after his great spell at Chelsea.
Interviewed by Brazilian media after the game, Costa praised the reception from his old fans.
“Remember,” the cult hero striker mused, “my problem was not with the crowd, it was with that coach.”
We always knew that to be true – hence the reception he got on his return.
We might never see Costa at the Bridge again – we’re delighted we got at least this chance to see him off.
