Chelsea named as ‘favourites’ to sign Cristiano Ronaldo

The footballing world will be waking up reading various snippets of a late-night Cristiano Ronaldo interview from last night.

The Manchester United forward sat down with Piers Morgan to conduct a 90-minute uncensored interview, with some quotes and clips being circulated already.

Sources: When Chelsea expect to announce Christopher Nkunku as a new signing!

As we know, Ronaldo’s time back at United has become a real nightmare, and it looks like he wants to tell it all, in his own words. Or at least, his version of events.

Chelsea were heavily linked with wanting to sign Ronaldo back in the summer, and the claims were that owner Todd Boehly was the driving force behind the interest, yet manager Thomas Tuchel said no.

But now, as if like clockwork, with a new manager in charge at Chelsea, it is them who are the favourites to sign Ronaldo.

The report below, cites Betfair as the source is naming Chelsea as Ronaldo’s most likely next club!

  1. Betfair is now considered a “source?” What has become of journalistic standards?

Not sure why it requires talking to Ragnick to see that, at this point in his career, Ronaldo is cancerous for the dressing room of any team that is struggling to find its identity and trying to develop young talent into champions. You’d hope it would be otherwise, but, unlike a Thiago Silva who is worth his old-man wages many times over on the field and off, Ronaldo still seems too focused on…Ronaldo. Even IF he can get you 15-20 goals (and that’s an increasingly big “if”), he’s a minus in terms of building your team chemistry with all his sulking. If Boehly wants him and Potter doesn’t push back then he (Potter) has no business being manager.
