Forgotten new Chelsea owner ‘taking some time off’ and ‘currently resting’

Whenever you speak about the new Chelsea owners you automatically think of Todd Boehly, or maybe even Clearlake Capital.

Boehly has become the real face of the new ownership and has been partaking in a number of hands-on roles since helping to buy the club alongside other investors at the start of the summer.

Sources: Jose Mourinho wanted to manage Chelsea for a THIRD time this summer!

But there is one name who you don’t ever really hear about and in fact, I have to hold my hands up and say I had even forgotten about him.

Swiss-Billionaire Hansjorg Wyss is an official co-owner of Chelsea alongside Boehly and co, but it appears that he has needed to take a rest after the stresses and busy period of the takeover.

Swiss media report that Wyss is taking some time off, partly because of the takeover and is currently resting in America.

I’d imagine it is a lot to take on for an 87-year-old, naturally. I am sure the rest will do him good.
