Hakim Ziyech’s wage demands keeping endless transfer paralysed

Hakim Ziyech’s good World Cup should really have greased the wheels for an exit from Chelsea.

The way he reminded everyone of his talent should make it easy to persuade more teams to get in on the chase for his signature – for the last 12 months, it’s felt like only AC Milan have any interest.

The Italian side are have never quite put their money on the table, despite the endless links, and today we hear that the Moroccan’s wage demands are causing problems.

Milan certainly have to worry about their wage bill more than we do, but you’d think that Ziyech would accept a short term wage cut just to get back out on the pitch playing and showing everyone what he can do.

Perhaps the best solution is a loan where we cover most of his wages, with an option for Milan to use to purchase the attacker should he do well.
