Top Chelsea target’s agent denies “pre-agreement” rumours

The interest in Josko Gvardiol has gone far beyond just chatter now.

We’ve seen the player address rumours of a move to Chelsea himself, and now his agent is speaking pretty openly about his client’s chances of a move too.

Florian Plettenberg had a solid exclusive with the Marjan Sisoc, who made it clear that any move being considered was for “summer 2023,” which cools the situation significantly.

He also claimed there were no “pre-agreements” in place already, which is in line with what we’ve heard from other sources, including Fabrizio Romano.

It sounds like he’s a player Chelsea want, but they face a tough 6 months of negotiating to make it happen. If he keeps playing like he has done at this World Cup, we could see his price really spiral.

Maybe the smart move is actually to try and get one of those “pre-agreements” in place now, if only to stop things getting out of hand.
