Fabrizio Romano is today reporting on another step forwards for Arsenal in their chase for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
He says the Gunners have “improved their proposal” to sign the Shakhtar winger, with their €40m+20m opening bid not moving the needle.
Romano notes that Chelsea are “also interested” but they’ve clearly accepted they’re outsiders as “Arsenal remain priority.”
The dangerous attacker looks like he could improve almost any team in the Premier League, but Mikel Arteta’s league leaders look like a particularly tempting destination right now for any player.

The deal seems so far along with Arsenal that we can’t really see it not working out now. Mudryk has spoken openly about how he wants to join them, and while they’re clearly battling for a lower fee, it seems very likely that the player gets his move in the end.
If things do break down totally however, we have no doubt that Chelsea will be hovering to strike.
