Chelsea looking at new country for multi-club model plan

As we know, Chelsea’s new owners have big ambitions at the club. One of those ambitions is to buy more than one club as part of a multi-club model plan.

We have already seen successful companies such as The City Group and The Red Bull Group who have already done this over recent years. The City Group have Manchester City as their flagship club, and Red Bull have both Salzburg and Leipzig, two successfully ran clubs.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital want to do the same by forming their own group, with Chelsea as their flagship club.

We’ve been hearing about countries such as Portugal and France as areas we are looking, but sources have told Si & Dan Talk Chelsea in an exclusive today, that the Blues owners are also looking at clubs in Australia, following further in the footsteps of The City Group, who already own Melbourne City.
