Chelsea have been working well into the night to try and secure the signing of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
In fact, they were working on it all day yesterday as well and even though talks are going to continue this morning, there has yet to be the green light given by Rui Costa at Benfica, which is proving to make this saga even more frustrating and annoying for all involved.

As per Fabrizio Romano’s report below, posted just hours ago on Twitter, it really looks like this one could now go either way. It’s been like that the first time around as well when Chelsea tried to negotiate to sign Enzo. But now is transfer deadline day and time is literally running out very fast if they want to get this one over the line.
It’s going to be another busy day of reports on this one to see if Chelsea land their guy.
