Andrey Santos has been dropping jaws all over South American in the last month as he’s starred for Brazil in the continent’s U20 Championships, but now that’s over he’s only thinking about one thing – Chelsea.
That’s according to his social media, anyway. Chelsea put up a Tweet celebrating his success with his country, and he responded saying: “thank you very much. Now let’s focus on the Blues!”

Now of course we wouldn’t expect him to say much different, and we shouldn’t read too much into this. But if it hints anything, it hints that he’s confident he can come and make a difference at Chelsea this season, or in the near future, rather than hints he’s expecting to go out on loan.
It will all come down to the work permit issue, but assuming that goes well, we could see him playing sooner than you might think.
