Chelsea are confident that N’Golo Kante will be in top shape when he returns from injury, reports Jacob Steinberg from The Guardian.
Further to this story, Chelsea are eager and want to see a partnership formed between Kante and Enzo Fernandez.
Their was also more regurgitated news that Chelsea retain the faith in Graham Potter but as we already know, it is not the hierarchy that Potter has to impress, it is the fans he needs to win over and gain support from.
A N’Golo Kante and Enzo Fernandez partnership would be an interesting balance as both player’s are more suited to the number eight role. With Graham Potter deploying a pivot regularly, their has to be question marks over the suitability of two players with similar profiles.
Enzo Fernandez has shown his quality passing range and looks to be an upgrade defensively on Jorginho in the number six position but there is still a feeling when you watch him that he is a bit limited by having to focus on the defensive duties.
