There have been questions about whether he will get a work permit – his initial application upon signing was denied by one point – and whispers in the last 24 hours have claimed he could head back to Brazil for a while longer on loan – but the latest reports hold that he will be just fine.

Fabrizio Romano’s Tweet just now claims that Chelsea feel “there will be no issues” in securing the permit, and are “confident to get the green light soon.”
Romano also confirms what we’ve assumed about Santos’ club status – the Blues intend to use him this season, and have told him as much.
That’s all very exciting – just when we thought we’d had all our debuts, another one looks close…
