Chelsea appear to be lacking the focal point of a true number nine right now out on the pitch, but they might already have one within their ranks.
I am sure many Chelsea fans would be unhappy if Romelu Lukaku returned to the club after everything that happened before he returned to Inter Milan on loan. But it might actually be something that soon becomes a reality.
Lukaku is only on loan at Inter Milan, and although the belief was that they would look to loan him for a further season, it looks like Inter are not convinced with keeping him.
His future at Inter is now uncertain, as explained by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report says that the Chelsea loanee is ‘no longer irreplaceable’ for Inter, despite the fact the two sides shook hands lat summer, ‘making an appointment’ for this June ‘to try and renew the agreement before thinking about a permanent deal’.
