Chelsea’s name has been one of the many top clubs linked with signing Jude Bellingham over the last months, with the England international expecting to make his big move in the summer.
An earlier report from German outlet SportBILD claimed that Bellingham has decided not to join Chelsea following Enzo Fernandez’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.
However, this has been denied by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his latest YouTube video.
Romano says that Bellingham hasn’t turned away any Chelsea advances yet, because there has yet to be any!
He believes that Chelsea are now focusing on different things and different positions after signing Enzo Fernandez in the winter window.
“I want to clarify something,” Romano said. “We had mixed reports on Jude Bellingham rejecting Chelsea. The reality is Bellingham never said no to any Chelsea proposal.
“Chelsea never made any official proposal for Bellingham.
“Of course, they [Chelsea] know that after signing Enzo Fernandez and being well covered in that position, the expectation is that Chelsea will not go for Bellingham in the summer.
“Chelsea are now focusing on different things and different positions.”
Personally I think Chelsea will look to sign another midfielder in the summer, but it wont be one at the price of Bellingham, who is being touted at a much higher fee than Enzo was.
I think Chelsea might sign big for a striker this summer.
