Matt Law from The Telegraph has revealed that Chelsea have hired Gilbert Enoka, a famous mental skills coach, to help build a winning culture at Chelsea.
Enoka, who will work on a short term based consultancy role, has been tasked with building a new world class winning culture at the club.
A very interesting appointment from Todd Boehly’s consortium due to the fact this will be Gilbert’s first venture into football, having worked with the New Zealand rugby team for the last 15 years.
Personally, Chelsea should not need a coach to help them with mentality, you either have it or you don’t, so I am not sure why this appointment has been made however we are missing more details as to what exactly he will help change.
Like, can you imagine this guy talking to Thiago Silva on how to win, how to prepare for matches? some of our player’s don’t need that and for the ones that do need a bit of a kick up the backside, I would prefer it to come naturally through their own will and hard work.
More to follow with this incredibly, no doubt.
