Chelsea identify ‘primary striker target’ for the summer as plans begin

Chelsea’s new owners are not about to take any long rest breaks after completing an incredible January transfer window of new arrivals for the squad.

Talk has already started as we look towards the next transfer window in the summer, and the club are going to be looking at strikers, according to a report today from 90min.

Exclusive: Ben Jacobs extensive latest Chelsea column of transfers and other in-house situations!

The report claims that Chelsea have identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as their primary striker target for the 2023 summer window.

Osimhen has been linked with Chelsea a few times recently, as well as in previous seasons under the last ownership, so he’s clearly a name on their radar.

But again, I can’t see him being a very cheap option in the summer and Chelsea might have to dig deep once again to land him, even after spending so much in the last two transfer windows already.

It seems like it will be one to keep an eye on for sure.

  1. In my opinion, I will prefer we go for Ivan Toney of Brentford instead of Osimhen, most Seria A strikers end up as flops in the premier league. Toney is premier league tested and Confirmed. Boehly should back off Osimhen and spend wisely on Toney.
